To build on the previous post’s concept of charting a nuanced path through the AI waters, I appreciated Stuart Winter-Tear’s recent post against autonomous agents and in favor of collaborative agents:
Only build semi-autonomous agents with structured human oversight.
Collaborative Agents are already delivering - in finance, healthcare, software - because they ask for help, adapt to feedback, and stay within the guardrails.
“The most promising future for AI is not in systems that take over human roles, but in those that enhance human capabilities through meaningful partnership.”
Amen.
There’s a lot to be gained in the current moment by working to solve a real problem and not getting carried away by the hype.
